Plymouth, WI 7/20/12 – Chevrolet and Joe Van Horn Chevrolet are building on the momentum of record breaking global sales and the total transformation of its product lineup by making consumers a bold new guarantee – if you don’t love it, return it.
- “Love it or Return it” – a vehicle return program on every new 2012 or 2013 model year vehicle purchase. Customers can return vehicles bought during the program, with less than 4,000 miles driven and no damage, 30 to 60 days from the purchase date. It’s simple – if you don’t love it, return it.
- “Total Confidence Pricing” – all 2012 model year Chevrolets will be offered at special preferred prices in addition to all current vehicle-specific incentives. No mystery about it – the price you see is the price you pay.
- For full program details and limitations go to chevyconfidence.com.
“We have transformed the Chevrolet lineup, so there is no better time than now to reach out to new customers with the love it or return it guarantee and very attractive, bottom line pricing,” said Chris Perry, Chevrolet global vice president of marketing. “We think customers who have been driving competitive makes or even older Chevrolets will be very pleased by today’s Chevrolet designs, easy-to-use technologies, comprehensive safety and the quality built into all of our cars, trucks and crossovers.”
“Research has shown customers respond positively to the confidence companies demonstrate with programs like this and appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing they have the option of being able to return their vehicle,” said Perry.
With a solid new lineup of vehicles to sell, Chevrolet’s U.S. dealers, including Joe Van Horn Chevrolet, have worked to elevate the retail experience by undergoing a transformation of their own. The results are new showrooms that better showcase the brand, and more highly trained staffs delivering a greater level of customer service.
“The Chevrolet Confidence program will help attract new and old customers to our showroom by adding another element of consumer convenience,” said Dennis Erdly of Joe Van Horn Chevrolet. “Area drivers continue to discover the new Chevy lineup, and we know that once they get behind the wheel of one of our Chevy vehicles that they are more likely to drive one home.”
Chevrolet sold 4.76 million vehicles around the world in 2011, setting a global sales record, and is on track to build on that success in 2012 with its best-ever first quarter global sales of 1.18 million vehicles. The U.S. was the brand’s leading market and was the leader in both passenger car and performance car sales in 2011. During the past two calendar years, Chevrolet has grown faster than other high-volume global brands, bringing its global market share to 6.28 percent.
Chevrolet vehicles are consistently recognized for delivering the quality, features and fuel economy that consumers want. Edmunds.com and Parents magazine have also recognized the Cruze Eco and Sonic as two of the Best Family Cars for 2012. Both the Cruze Eco and Sonic deliver fuel economy of 40 mpg or more on the highway and offer consumers the comfort, safety and advanced technology they expect at a value.
Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world’s largest car brands, doing business in more than 140 countries and selling more than four million cars and trucks a year. Van Horn Chrysler Dodge Jeep was honored for 25 years as a Chrysler dealer when executives from Chrysler Corporation visited the dealership on Monday June 4th.

as a Dodge dealer
“We were all very excited when Chrysler contacted us and said they would be recognizing Chuck’s accomplishments. And I can assure you that the whole Van Horn team is extremely proud of this milestone” said Richard Strong, General Manager of Van Horn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
Chuck Van Horn has been operating the Van Horn Dodge store since 1987, and added the Jeep and Chrysler franchises in 2009. The business is part of the Van Horn Automotive group, which was originally founded by Joe Van Horn in 1966. His son, Chuck looking back, recalls these being challenging times as Joe moved his family from Chicago to Plymouth to purchase Wagner Chevrolet and open his first store, Joe Van Horn Chevrolet.
“I’m honored to receive the award,” Chuck Van Horn said of the plaque, which will be put on display in the dealership. “We’re looking forward to another 25 years of continued success with the Chrysler brand”
Chrysler Corporation representatives presented the plaque and offered congratulations to Chuck Van Horn and the employees for their years of service as a Dodge dealer.
The Van Horn Auto Group currently employs nearly 150 people in its Plymouth operations and over 300 statewide. The Van Horn Auto Group is also expanding their operations in Sheboygan and has added locations in Milwaukee and Stoughton.
The former Kayser Chrysler Center of Stoughton has been purchased by the Van Horn Automotive Group of Plymouth, WI. The new dealership has been renamed Dane County Auto Sales offering Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram as well as a wide selection of various pre-owned makes and models. The store will be owned and operated by J.P. Van Horn, who hopes to settle into the Stoughton community along with his wife and two sons. Marty Krepsky, General Manager, is also looking forward to relocating to the Stoughton community with his family.
“We are honored to become a member of this great community,” said J.P. Van Horn. “We really have our work cut out for us this time as the business has been badly neglected for a long time. The previous owners basically left the place for dead, leaving the employees to make the best of it. These individuals and the vendors who really supported this location had lost any real way to make a living. I really respect these employees who were able to survive and hang on with the rug pulled out from under them.”
“The good news is that we are going to turn all that around right now,” J.P. continues. “We are going to completely renovate the entire building, inside and out. We are also currently hiring many good people in all departments to grow this team. This will be a great place to do business and a proud member of the Stoughton community. Our expansion plans will serve Dane County, but our business model reaches out to attract customers from all over the country.”
J.P. Van Horn discusses his vision of the future for Dane County Auto Sales. “Unfortunately, only about a dozen employees were able to survive the dismantling of the Ford franchise and the gutting of the business. Once I get my furnace fired up and my renovations complete, Stoughton will enjoy a very successful new business partner to be proud of, with 20 to 30 new employees and total sales projected in excess of $25 million dollars annually. Dane County Auto Sales will be a part of the thriving success story that is Stoughton. Our business model is best described by our motto. ‘The Big Dealer in a small town.’ Please come do business with us; we want to do business with you!”
