Karen Ferguson joins Van Horn Automotive Group as the new Director of Human Resources. Karen has spent her whole life in Sheboygan County earning her Masters in Organizational Behavior from Silver Lake College and working in the Human Resources department at Kohler and Manitowoc Companies. In her new role, Karen is most looking forward to building a strong HR process and helping the organization move forward. When she is not at work, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, camping and shooting pool.

Plymouth, WI – Each year, the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce recognizes a local business that has done an exceptional job providing service to their community. This year, Van Horn Automotive Group is honored to receive this award. Three generations of the Van Horn Family make up the Van Horn Auto Group, which is dedicated to being active in local charities, events, and activities. Since 1993, Van Horn Automotive Group has helped raise close to 5 million dollars for education and student enrichment. The Van Horn Group is honored to sponsor area businesses and charities such as the Plymouth Food Pantry, Plymouth Intergenerational Center, Plymouth School District, Quit Qui Oc Sports Complex, Sheboygan County Fairest of the Fair, St. John the Baptist Church and School, St. Mary Springs Academy, United Way of Sheboygan County, Plymouth Arts Center, Plymouth Youth Soccer and Baseball, Gift of Life and or course the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and more. Mike is originally from Colorado Springs, CO but has lived and worked in the Sheboygan Area for the last nine years. Mike got his start at Van Horn in the sales department at Van Horn Hyundai. Mike says he is most looking forward to working with the Van Horn team and getting involved helping customers. Mike is married with two daughters and enjoys riding his Harley in his spare time.

Plymouth, WI – Feb 10, 2014 – On Saturday March 8, 2014 between 10:00am and 1:00pm, Van Horn Automotive will team up with the Plymouth Area Basketball Association for the Drive 4 Hoops Fundraiser. Everyone in the community is invited to come out to Riverview Middle School and test drive new 2014 Chevy
products. For each person that takes a test drive, Van Horn will donate $15 to Plymouth High School Girls Basketball Boosters. The vehicles will be provided by Van Horn’s Sheboygan County Dealerships, and dealership staff will be on hand to assist with the test drives.
“Van Horn and Plymouth Basketball is the perfect partnership,” said Shannon Laehn, Business Development Director for Van Horn Automotive Group. “We enjoy working with the parents, students, and Panther fans in our community. We look forward to the opportunity to give a little something back and help the Girls Basketball Team raise money for their program.”
