Introducing Fast Track High Gear!

Van Horn Automotive announced the launch of a new program, Fast Track High Gear, designed specifically for its valued Automotive Lube Technicians. The program is designed to increase entry-level technicians’ skills necessary to advance in the automotive industry within a minimum of six months.

Program Aims to Increase Entry-Level Technician Skills

Van Horn understands the importance of staying ahead in the automotive industry and providing the highest level of service to its valued customers. The company is taking a significant step towards enhancing the skills, achieving goals, and raising the bar for excellence by implementing Fast Track.

Program Targets Suspension and Steering, Brakes, and Heating & Air Conditioning

The program aims to help grow current employees who have had 1-2 years of previous lube technician work duties (whether that be by previous work or school experience) by continuing their education in order to enhance professional growth from a D Lube technician level to a C level technician.

The apprentice will work full time alongside an experienced technician mentor during the duration of the program and will have the opportunity to receive a tool allowance.

• Suspension and Steering
• Brakes
• Heating & Air Conditioning

Eligibility and Program Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• A plan to pursue a professional career in the automotive industry through on the job training or has completed an Automotive Technician program
• Valid and active driver’s license
• Remain employed for 90-days with a positive 90-day review
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of automotive experience prior to enrolling program
• Provide evidence of successful completion of skills checklist each semester
• Have a referral from a current Service Manager
