Brenna Prieto Voted Highest Achiever by Peers from Dale Carnegie Women’s Leadership Academy

Van Horn Automotive Group is proud to recognize Brenna Prieto, Customer Transport Manager, for receiving the Highest Achievement Award from her peers in the Dale Carnegie Women’s Leadership Academy. This award is given to the participant who demonstrates the greatest growth, contribution, and leadership potential throughout the program.

Brenna was awarded a scholarship to attend the leadership academy in March 2024 by Van Horn’s, She Owns It committee, an internal initiative that empowers women across the company through connection, mentorship, and professional development. She began her career with Van Horn in an entry-level position and has grown steadily over the last four years.

The Dale Carnegie Women’s Leadership Academy equips participants with skills in communication, innovation, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. Through workshops and peer-led discussions, Brenna expanded her leadership approach and brought those lessons back to her team, strengthening communication, encouraging collaboration, and supporting the growth of others in her department.

Reflecting on her experience, Brenna shared, “One of the most valuable parts of this journey was finding clarity in how I lead and how I want to bring others along with me. Leadership, to me, is about lifting others as you climb.”

At a recent recognition event, she added, “I owe it to Shannon and the rest of the management team for always being there for me and supporting me.”

Renee Martin, of Dale Carnegie, also spoke to Brenna’s impact on the group: “I get a little choked up thinking about it—the bond this group created was truly something special. When it came to Brenna, it was clear to all of us that she had earned the highest honor. She showed the strongest leadership qualities, the greatest personal growth, and left a lasting impact on everyone around her. I couldn’t be prouder of the leader she has become.”
