VAN HORN’S MEMORIAL DAY EVENT DRIVES SUPPORT FOR BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
Van Horn Automotive Group once again took a community-driven approach to Memorial Day weekend with their Memorial Day Test Drive Event. Every test drive taken during May 26, 27 and 29, at any Van Horn dealership location, raised $20 for the nearest Big Brothers Big Sisters agency. The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. A fair number of the youth supported are from military families with a loved one away or lost in the line of duty. “We are proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters for this great event every year. They do great things for all of the communities where our dealerships operate,” said Ryan Thiel, Marketing Director for Van Horn Automotive Group. “It’s nice to raise money for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, but more importantly, we also want to raise awareness of the need to find mentors for unmatched youth candidates.”
Results from the three-day event period, across all 16 Van Horn dealership locations, totaled 210 test drives and $4,200 in funds raised. Donations will be made from each Van Horn dealership to their nearest Big Brothers Big Sisters agency.
